🐺 Chapter One – The New Sheep
The morning sun was just coming out.
The grass was still wet.
The sheep slowly walked out of their wooden pen.
Some were eating.
Some were running around.
Little lambs chased one another happily.
Life on the farm was peaceful.
Old Shepherd Musa stood beside the gate with his walking stick.
Every morning he counted his sheep before leading them to the green field.
He never missed a single one.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three..."
He smiled.
Everything looked normal.
Or so he thought.
Far away, behind the tall trees, two yellow eyes watched the sheep.
A hungry wolf hid inside the bushes.
He had not eaten for many days.
His stomach growled loudly.
He looked at the flock.
There were many fat sheep.
But there was a problem.
The shepherd's dogs never left the flock.
They were big.
Strong.
And very fast.
Every time the wolf came close...
The dogs chased him away.
The wolf sighed.
"I need another plan."
He looked around the forest.
Then he saw something hanging on a broken fence.
It was old sheep wool.
Someone had thrown it away after cutting a sheep's hair.
The wolf slowly smiled.
A clever smile.
"I don't need to chase them..."
"I'll become one of them."
He quietly picked up the dirty white wool.
He wrapped it around himself.
From far away...
He no longer looked like a wolf.
He looked like another sheep.
Not perfect.
But close enough.
That evening, when the shepherd opened the gate for the sheep to return home...
The wolf quietly walked in with them.
Nobody noticed.
Not the shepherd.
Not the dogs.
Not even the sheep.
Only one tiny lamb looked at the new sheep for a little longer.
His name was Kito.
He tilted his head.
Something did not feel right.
The new sheep never smiled.
It never made any sound.
And its eyes...
They looked nothing like sheep eyes.
They looked hungry.
Very hungry.
Kito quietly whispered to himself,
"I think someone here is pretending..."

🌲 Chapter Two – The Sheep That Never Ate
The next morning, the sun rose slowly over the hills.
The birds began singing.
The shepherd opened the gate.
The sheep happily ran outside.
They rushed straight to the fresh green grass.
Every sheep lowered its head and began eating.
Every sheep...
Except one.
The new sheep simply stood there.
It looked around.
Its eyes were not on the grass.
Its eyes were on the little lambs.
Kito quietly watched from a short distance.
He frowned.
"That's strange."
He walked closer.
The new sheep quickly bent down and pretended to eat.
But Kito noticed something.
The grass under its mouth never moved.
It was only acting.
Kito whispered,
"Real sheep eat."
"This one doesn't."
He wanted to tell the others.
So he ran to his best friend, a playful lamb named Bina.
"Bina, something is wrong with the new sheep."
Bina laughed.
"You worry too much."
"It's just shy."
Kito shook his head.
"No."
"I've been watching it."
"It doesn't eat."
"It doesn't play."
"It only watches us."
Bina looked at the strange sheep.
For a moment...
She also became quiet.
"It does look... different."
Just then, one of the shepherd's dogs walked past.
The wolf froze.
He lowered his head.
The dog sniffed the air.
He stopped.
He looked at the new sheep.
The wolf's heart began beating fast.
Very fast.
The dog took one step closer.
Then another.
The wolf was ready to run.
But before the dog reached him...
The shepherd whistled.
"Bruno!"
"Come here!"
The dog turned around and ran back to the shepherd.
The wolf quietly breathed out.
He had escaped.
For now.
That evening, the sheep returned home.
As everyone settled down to sleep...
The wolf stayed awake.
His stomach growled loudly.
He looked across the pen.
The little lambs were sleeping close together.
Nobody was watching.
He slowly smiled.
"Tonight..."
"...I finally eat."
But hidden behind a pile of hay...
Kito was still awake.
And he was watching everything.

🌙 Chapter Three – Eyes in the Dark
Night covered the farm.
The moon was bright.
The sheep were asleep.
Only the sound of crickets could be heard.
Kito hid behind a pile of hay.
He tried not to make any sound.
His little heart was beating very fast.
He kept watching the new sheep.
For a long time...
Nothing happened.
Then...
The strange sheep slowly stood up.
It looked around carefully.
Left.
Right.
Nobody seemed to be awake.
Slowly, it walked away from the sleeping sheep.
When it reached the darkest corner of the pen...
It pulled off the white wool.
Kito almost screamed.
It was not a sheep.
It was the wolf.
His sharp teeth shined in the moonlight.
His yellow eyes looked even scarier at night.
The wolf stretched his legs and smiled.
"I'm tired of pretending."
He slowly walked toward the sleeping lambs.
Each step was quiet.
Very quiet.
Kito wanted to warn everyone.
But he was afraid.
If the wolf saw him...
He would be the first to disappear.
The wolf stopped beside little Bina.
She was sleeping peacefully.
The wolf opened his mouth.
Just then...
A loud owl cried from the tree above.
"Hoooo!"
The wolf quickly looked up.
At the same moment...
Bruno, the shepherd's biggest dog, lifted his head.
He sniffed the air.
His nose twitched.
He smelled something.
Not sheep.
Wolf.
The wolf quickly pulled the white wool back over himself.
He lay down before Bruno reached him.
The dog slowly walked through the pen.
He sniffed every sheep.
When he reached the wolf...
He stopped.
His ears stood straight.
His tail became stiff.
The wolf closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.
Bruno growled softly.
"Grrrr..."
The shepherd's voice suddenly came from inside the house.
"Bruno!"
"Quiet!"
The dog looked one more time at the strange sheep.
Then he slowly walked away.
The wolf opened one eye.
He smiled again.
"That dog is getting suspicious."
Kito finally understood.
Nobody would believe him without proof.
He had to find a way to show everyone the truth.
Before the wolf hurt someone.
🌙 End of Chapter Three
🐕 Chapter Four – The Trap
The sun came up again.
The sheep walked to the open field as usual.
Everyone looked happy.
Everyone...
Except Kito.
He could not stop thinking about what he had seen the night before.
The wolf was hiding among them.
And nobody believed him.
Kito looked at Bruno, the shepherd's biggest dog.
Bruno was lying under a tree, watching over the flock.
Kito slowly walked over to him.
He whispered,
"Bruno..."
"I know who the wolf is."
The dog opened one eye.
He looked at the little lamb.
Kito continued,
"I saw him take off his sheep wool."
Bruno stood up immediately.
He already had his own doubts.
Now someone else had seen it too.
The dog quietly nodded.
They needed proof.
Real proof.
That afternoon, Bruno pretended to leave the field.
He slowly walked behind the trees until nobody could see him.
The wolf watched carefully.
He smiled.
"Finally..."
"The dog is gone."
The sheep continued eating peacefully.
None of them noticed the wolf moving closer.
He quietly walked toward the youngest lamb.
His eyes became bright.
His mouth slowly opened.
Just before he reached the little lamb...
Bruno jumped out from behind the bushes.
"STOP!"
The wolf quickly stepped back.
He smiled nervously.
"I was only saying hello."
Bruno growled.
The other sheep looked up.
They stared at the two animals.
The wolf quickly bent down and pretended to eat grass.
The sheep looked confused.
"He looks normal," one sheep said.
Another nodded.
"Bruno must be mistaken."
The wolf smiled inside.
His trick was still working.
But Kito had another idea.
He quietly picked up a long thorn from a nearby bush.
He slowly walked behind the strange sheep.
Nobody noticed him.
Very gently...
He pulled the loose white wool.
Rip.
A large piece came off.
The flock gasped.
Gray fur appeared underneath.
Sharp claws.
A long bushy tail.
The wolf quickly tried to cover himself again.
But it was too late.
Everybody had seen the truth.
"IT'S A WOLF!"
The sheep scattered in every direction.
Bruno barked loudly.
The other farm dogs came running across the field.
The wolf realised his secret was finally gone.
Without looking back...
He ran as fast as he could toward the dark forest.
The dogs chased after him.
The race had begun.

🌲 Chapter Five – The Chase Through the Forest
The wolf ran faster than the wind.
His paws hit the ground again and again.
He did not look back.
He already knew the dogs were behind him.
Bruno led the chase.
The other farm dogs followed closely.
Their loud barks echoed through the forest.
The birds flew out of the trees in fear.
Small animals hurried into their holes.
The whole forest seemed to know something was happening.
The wolf jumped over fallen logs.
He pushed through thick bushes.
He crossed a small stream without slowing down.
But Bruno stayed close.
Very close.
Back at the field, the sheep slowly came together again.
Everyone was still shaking.
Nobody could believe the truth.
One old sheep looked at Kito.
"You were right all along."
Another sheep lowered her head.
"We should have listened to you."
Kito smiled a little.
"I just didn't want anyone to get hurt."
Far inside the forest, the wolf was becoming tired.
His breathing became heavy.
His legs felt weak.
He searched for somewhere to hide.
Then he saw a narrow cave between two large rocks.
Without thinking, he rushed inside.
Bruno stopped outside the cave.
The other dogs stood beside him.
The cave was too dark.
Too narrow.
They could not safely go in.
Bruno barked loudly.
"Come out!"
The wolf laughed from inside.
"You caught my secret..."
"But you didn't catch me."
Bruno stayed where he was.
He was patient.
He knew the wolf could not stay inside forever.
Hours passed.
The sun slowly began to go down.
The wolf became hungry.
Very hungry.
He had no food.
No water.
Only darkness.
He finally understood something.
If he had not been greedy...
If he had hunted honestly...
He would never have ended up trapped.
He quietly sighed.
Outside, Bruno stood without moving.
He was determined.
The wolf was not going back to the flock again.
Not ever.
The long night slowly settled over the forest.
Tomorrow would decide the wolf's fate.
🌙 End of Chapter Five
🌅 Chapter Six – A Lesson the Flock Never Forgot
The first light of morning entered the forest.
The birds began singing again.
Bruno was still sitting outside the cave.
He had not moved all night.
The other dogs were tired too.
But none of them left.
Inside the cave, the wolf was weak.
His stomach growled loudly.
He had no food.
No water.
No way out.
At last, he slowly walked toward the cave entrance.
He looked at Bruno.
His proud smile was gone.
He quietly lowered his head.
"I have lost."
Bruno nodded.
"You did."
The wolf slowly walked away from the cave.
He did not run.
He did not fight.
He simply disappeared deep into the forest.
Nobody ever saw him near the farm again.
Back at the farm, the shepherd counted his sheep once more.
This time...
Every sheep was safe.
Every lamb was smiling.
The old shepherd looked at Kito.
He gently rubbed the little lamb's head.
"You are small..."
"...but today you protected everyone."
The sheep gathered around Kito.
Some felt ashamed.
Others thanked him.
Bina smiled.
"I'm sorry."
"I should have believed you."
Kito smiled back.
"It's okay."
"We all make mistakes."
From that day on, the flock became wiser.
Whenever a new animal joined them...
They welcomed it kindly.
But they also stayed careful.
Because they had learned something important.
Not everyone who looks friendly truly is.
And sometimes...
The smallest voice is the one telling the truth.
🌿 Moral of the Story
Do not judge only by what you see. A kind heart should also be wise. Listen carefully, even to the smallest voice, because truth can come from anyone.
