🌿 Chapter One – The Girl Beneath the Silver Tree
The moon was already high when Elara reached the edge of the forest.
She carried a small blue lantern in one hand.
Its flame was strange.
It gave no heat.
It only glowed.
Behind her was the village.
Ahead was the forest.
The trees stood close together, their branches joining above the path like a giant roof.
Elara took one slow step forward.
A soft sound came from somewhere between the trees.
Ting...
She stopped.
Ting...
It sounded like a tiny bell.
She raised the lantern.
Small golden lights floated between the branches.
Fireflies.
But these were different.
Each one carried a tiny blue spark inside its body.
Elara smiled.
"So the stories were true."
The fireflies moved away from the path.
They formed a glowing line through the trees.
Elara followed.
The deeper she walked, the quieter the forest became.
Her footsteps became the only sound.
Then she heard water.
A small stream appeared between two large rocks.
Elara crossed it carefully.
On the other side stood a tree covered in silver leaves.
Its trunk was wide.
Its branches reached far above the forest.
At the base of the tree was a little wooden door.
Elara moved closer.
There was a symbol carved into it.
A crescent moon surrounded by seven stars.
She touched the symbol.
The blue lantern suddenly became brighter.
The door opened.
Elara stepped back.
Warm golden light spilled onto the grass.
A small room appeared inside the tree.
There was a round table.
Three wooden chairs.
And a glass bottle filled with glowing dust.
Beside the bottle was a folded piece of paper.
Elara picked it up.
Her hands trembled when she saw the name written on it.
"Elara."
She slowly unfolded the paper.
Only one sentence was written inside.
"Do not trust the girl wearing a crown of flowers."
Elara stared at the words.
She had never heard of such a girl.
Then something moved behind her.
A soft step on the grass.
Elara turned.
A young girl stood beneath the silver tree.
She wore a long green dress.
Flowers covered her hair.
A small golden crown rested on her head.
The girl smiled.
"Elara..."
Elara's heart stopped for a moment.
The girl lifted her hand.
A blue butterfly landed on her finger.
"You finally found me."
Elara looked down at the paper.
Then back at the girl.
The sentence on the paper suddenly changed.
New words slowly appeared.
"RUN BEFORE SHE REMEMBERS YOUR FACE."

🦋 Chapter Two – Garden of Glass
Elara did not run.
Her legs wanted to move, but something kept her standing beneath the silver tree.
The girl with the flower crown watched her quietly.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
Elara held the paper behind her back.
"Who are you?"
The girl smiled.
"My name is Mirelle."
The blue butterfly lifted from her finger.
It flew around Elara's head once.
Then it disappeared into the silver leaves.
Mirelle walked toward the little door.
Elara moved away from it.
"Did you leave this for me?"
Mirelle looked at the paper.
Her smile faded.
"That paper should not be here."
Elara showed it to her.
The warning was still there.
Mirelle touched the page.
The ink began to move.
The words twisted together.
Then they formed a new sentence.
"THE GARDEN HAS OPENED."
A deep sound rolled through the forest.
The silver tree shook.
Leaves fell around them.
Mirelle looked toward the stream.
"We have to go."
Elara followed her.
They crossed the stream and entered a narrow path.
The path had not been there before.
Tall flowers grew on both sides.
Their petals opened as Elara walked past.
Inside each flower was a tiny glass bead.
Some were red.
Some were gold.
Some shone with a pale blue light.
Mirelle picked one from a white flower.
"Keep this."
Elara took it.
The bead felt warm.
"What does it do?"
Mirelle looked ahead.
"It remembers things."
Elara frowned.
"What kind of things?"
Mirelle did not answer.
The path opened into a huge garden.
Elara stopped.
Every plant in the garden was made of glass.
Glass roses.
Glass vines.
Glass trees with crystal fruit hanging from their branches.
A narrow bridge crossed the middle of the garden.
At the end stood a white tower.
A golden light burned at the top.
Mirelle pointed toward it.
"That is where your answer is."
Elara looked at the tower.
"Answer to what?"
Mirelle turned to her.
"Why the forest called your name."
A sharp crack came from behind them.
One of the glass trees had broken.
Elara turned.
A dark shape moved between the flowers.
Mirelle grabbed her hand.
"Don't look at it."
They ran across the bridge.
Behind them came the sound of glass breaking.
Crack.
Crack.
Crack.
The golden light at the top of the tower suddenly went out.
The entire garden became dark.
Then Elara felt the glass bead in her hand grow hot.
A tiny image appeared inside it.
A young woman.
A silver tree.
And a baby wrapped in a blue cloth.
Elara stared at the image.
The woman turned toward her.
Her lips moved.
Only one word could be heard.
"Mother."
Elara dropped the bead.
It did not break.
Instead...
The tower door opened.
And someone inside whispered her name.

🌙 Chapter Three – The Room Above the Trees
Elara stood at the tower door.
Mirelle was behind her.
Neither of them spoke.
The voice came again.
"Come inside, Elara."
Elara looked at Mirelle.
"Who is calling me?"
Mirelle looked toward the dark garden.
"Someone who has been waiting for a long time."
Elara pushed the door.
It opened without a sound.
A round staircase climbed through the tower.
Small candles floated beside the walls.
Their flames were blue.
Elara stepped inside.
Mirelle followed.
The door closed behind them.
The staircase seemed much longer from inside.
They climbed.
One floor.
Then another.
Then another.
The forest became smaller through the narrow windows.
At the highest window, Elara could see the whole enchanted forest.
Silver rivers crossed the land.
Golden birds flew above the trees.
Far away, mountains shone under the moon.
Then Elara noticed something strange.
A dark line ran through the middle of the forest.
It looked like a wall.
Mirelle saw it too.
"Don't stare at that."
Elara turned.
"What is it?"
Mirelle stayed quiet.
They reached the final floor.
There was one room.
A golden key hung above the entrance.
Elara reached for it.
The key moved before her fingers touched it.
It floated into her hand.
The door opened.
Inside was a small bedroom.
A wooden bed stood near the window.
A blue blanket covered it.
Beside the bed was an old music box.
Elara walked toward it.
The music box opened by itself.
A soft melody filled the room.
Elara knew the tune.
She had heard it many times as a child.
Her mother used to hum it before sleep.
Elara touched the music box.
A hidden drawer opened.
Inside was a small silver pendant.
The pendant had the same crescent moon symbol from the door beneath the silver tree.
Elara picked it up.
The room suddenly changed.
The walls became covered with moving pictures.
A young woman stood beneath the silver tree.
She was holding a baby.
The baby wore a blue cloth.
Elara stepped closer.
She knew that woman.
Her heart began to beat faster.
"That's my mother."
Mirelle looked down.
Elara turned toward her.
"You knew."
Mirelle slowly nodded.
"She brought you here once."
Elara's eyes filled with tears.
"When?"
Mirelle pointed at the moving picture.
"On the night you were born."
The image changed.
Elara's mother placed the baby beneath the silver tree.
Then she removed the blue lantern from her hand.
She placed it beside the baby.
A bright light covered the tree.
The image ended.
Elara looked at her lantern.
The flame was now turning silver.
Mirelle whispered,
"Your mother didn't bring you here to hide you."
Elara looked at her.
"Then why?"
Before Mirelle could answer...
A loud bell rang below.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
The candles went out.
The moving pictures vanished.
The tower shook.
Then a voice came from the floor beneath them.
"She is here."
Mirelle's face changed.
For the first time...
She looked truly afraid.
The silver pendant in Elara's hand began to glow.
A thin crack appeared across the floor.
Something was rising from beneath the tower.
And this time...
It was calling Mirelle's name.

🍃 Chapter Four – The Keeper of the Lantern
The crack in the floor grew wider.
Mirelle grabbed Elara's hand.
"We have to go."
Elara held the silver pendant tightly.
The blue flame inside her lantern had changed.
It now burned with a soft silver light.
A cold wind rushed through the room.
The curtains flew toward the ceiling.
The wooden bed moved across the floor.
Then a pale hand appeared through the crack.
Mirelle pulled Elara toward the staircase.
They ran down.
The tower shook behind them.
Blue candles fell from the walls.
The staircase twisted as they descended.
For a moment, Elara could not see the next step.
Mirelle stopped suddenly.
"Wait."
A small golden door had appeared in the wall.
It was no taller than Elara's shoulder.
There was no handle.
Only a small mark shaped like a lantern.
Elara brought her lantern closer.
The mark lit up.
The golden door opened.
Warm air came from inside.
They entered.
The room beyond was round.
Hundreds of lanterns hung from the ceiling.
Some were blue.
Some were green.
Some were bright like stars.
Others held almost no light.
Elara stared at them.
"What is this place?"
Mirelle looked around.
"The Lantern Room."
At the center stood an old wooden chair.
Beside it was a table covered with tiny glass bottles.
A man sat in the chair.
His hair was white.
His clothes were covered with leaves.
He looked at Elara.
Then at the lantern in her hand.
His eyes became wide.
"At last."
Elara stepped closer.
"Who are you?"
The old man stood.
"My name is Orin."
He walked toward her.
He did not look at her face.
He kept looking at the lantern.
"Your mother carried that light."
Elara's eyes widened.
"You knew her?"
Orin nodded.
"I knew her better than most."
Mirelle stepped closer.
"Tell her the truth."
Orin looked at Mirelle.
His face became serious.
"The truth has a price."
Elara placed the silver pendant on the table.
"Then tell me the price."
Orin looked at the pendant.
For a few seconds, he said nothing.
Then he opened one of the glass bottles.
A tiny silver mist came out.
It floated around Elara.
A picture appeared in the air.
Her mother stood beneath the silver tree.
She was older than in the earlier memory.
She held the same blue lantern.
Orin's voice became quiet.
"Your mother was the last keeper of the forest light."
Elara watched the memory.
Her mother placed her hand against the silver tree.
The whole forest lit up.
Then the dark wall appeared in the distance.
It moved closer.
Closer.
Until it reached the silver tree.
Elara's mother looked toward it.
"Not yet."
The memory vanished.
Elara looked at Orin.
"What was that wall?"
Orin slowly closed the bottle.
"A door."
Elara frowned.
"A door to where?"
Orin looked toward Mirelle.
Mirelle lowered her eyes.
Then the Lantern Room shook.
Every lantern went dark at the same time.
A deep sound rolled through the tower.
Orin looked at Elara.
"The door has found you."
Elara's lantern suddenly flew from her hand.
It rose toward the ceiling.
The silver flame became enormous.
And across the wall...
A doorway slowly appeared.
Beyond it stood a figure wearing a crown of flowers.

🌸 Chapter Five – The Woman Behind the Crown
Elara stared at the figure inside the doorway.
Flowers covered the woman's hair.
A thin golden crown rested above her forehead.
Her dress moved gently in the cold air.
Mirelle stepped back.
"Don't go near her."
The woman looked at Mirelle.
A small smile appeared on her face.
"You still have that habit."
Mirelle said nothing.
Elara looked from one to the other.
"You know her."
Mirelle slowly nodded.
"Yes."
The woman stepped through the doorway.
The candles above them came back to life.
Their flames turned purple.
The woman looked at Elara's silver pendant.
Her eyes filled with sadness.
"Your mother gave you that."
Elara held the pendant close.
"How do you know my mother?"
The woman touched one of the flowers in her hair.
"Because I stood beside her when she made the choice."
Orin moved closer.
"Enough, Selene."
The woman turned toward him.
"You still fear the truth, Orin."
Elara looked at Orin.
His face had changed.
He looked older than before.
Tired.
"What choice did my mother make?"
Selene looked at her.
"She gave the forest a guardian."
Elara's eyes narrowed.
"Who?"
Selene pointed toward Mirelle.
Mirelle closed her eyes.
Elara stared at her.
"You?"
Mirelle nodded.
"Your mother trusted me."
Elara shook her head.
"Then why did she leave me?"
The room became quiet.
Selene looked at the floor.
"She didn't leave you."
Elara's eyes filled with tears.
"Then where is she?"
Selene looked toward the doorway.
The dark forest could be seen beyond it.
"She is still inside the forest."
Elara's breath caught.
"Alive?"
Selene nodded.
"Yes."
Elara stepped forward.
"Take me to her."
Selene looked at the lantern hanging above them.
"You are not ready."
Elara raised her voice.
"I have waited long enough."
The silver lantern suddenly dropped from the ceiling.
Elara caught it.
The flame changed again.
This time it became white.
Every glass bottle in the room began shaking.
One bottle fell.
It broke against the floor.
A cloud of golden dust rose into the air.
The dust formed the shape of a woman.
Elara looked up.
Her mother's face appeared before her.
Her lips moved.
"Elara..."
Elara reached toward the image.
"Mother?"
The image began fading.
But before it vanished...
Her mother looked directly at Selene.
"Do not let her reach the Moon Garden."
The image disappeared.
Elara turned slowly toward Selene.
Selene's face had gone pale.
Mirelle stepped between them.
"Elara..."
Elara raised the lantern.
"What is the Moon Garden?"
Selene did not answer.
Instead...
She removed the flower crown from her head.
Beneath it was a thin silver mark across her forehead.
The same crescent moon found on Elara's pendant.
Selene looked at Elara.
"The Moon Garden is where your mother is being held."
A cold wind rushed through the room.
The doorway behind Selene began closing.
Selene stepped through it.
"If you want your mother back..."
She looked over her shoulder.
"...you must find the garden before sunrise."
The doorway slammed shut.
And the silver lantern went completely dark.
🌙 End of Chapter Five
🌙 Chapter Six – Moon Garden
The lantern went dark.
Elara stood in the middle of the Lantern Room.
For a few seconds, she could hear only her own breathing.
Then the silver pendant around her neck became warm.
A thin line of light came from it.
The line moved across the floor.
It stopped beside the wall.
A small door appeared.
Mirelle walked toward it.
"This is the way."
Elara followed.
The door opened into a narrow passage.
There were no candles there.
Instead, small stars floated above their heads.
They moved slowly as Elara walked.
The passage curved beneath the forest.
Roots covered the ceiling.
Some roots had tiny flowers growing from them.
Mirelle touched one.
It opened at once.
A soft blue light filled the passage.
"The forest is showing us the way."
Elara looked ahead.
Far in the distance, she could see a pale glow.
They walked toward it.
The passage became wider.
Then suddenly...
They stepped into a huge open space.
Elara stopped.
The Moon Garden was beautiful.
White flowers covered the ground.
A silver river flowed between them.
Large blue butterflies rested on the flowers.
Above the garden hung a giant moon.
It looked close enough to touch.
In the center stood a glass tree.
Someone was standing beneath it.
Elara knew the shape before she saw the face.
Her hands began to shake.
"Mother..."
The woman slowly turned.
It was her.
Older than Elara remembered.
Her hair was silver at the sides.
But her eyes were the same.
Elara ran toward her.
They held each other tightly.
For a moment, the garden became completely still.
No wind.
No sound.
Only the river moved.
"I knew you would come."
Elara pulled away.
"Why did you leave me?"
Her mother touched her face.
"I never wanted to."
Elara looked at the silver tree.
"Then what happened?"
Her mother looked toward the moon.
"The forest was dying."
She pointed at the lantern.
"That light was the only thing keeping it alive."
Elara looked at the lantern.
A tiny white flame appeared inside it.
"You gave it to me."
Her mother nodded.
"Because the light needed someone who could carry it beyond the forest."
Mirelle stepped closer.
"The wall is moving again."
Elara's mother looked toward the far end of the garden.
A dark line had appeared between the flowers.
It stretched across the ground.
Slowly...
It began moving toward them.
Her mother took Elara's hand.
"Listen to me."
Elara looked at her.
"The forest does not need you to fight."
"It needs you to choose."
Elara frowned.
"Choose what?"
Her mother pointed toward the silver river.
A small wooden boat appeared on the water.
Inside it was a golden key.
"Take that key."
Elara stepped toward the river.
Behind her...
The dark line reached the first white flower.
The flower turned black.
Then another.
Then another.
Mirelle grabbed Elara's arm.
"Hurry!"
Elara stepped into the boat.
The river carried her away from the garden.
She reached for the golden key.
The moment her fingers touched it...
The giant moon above the garden cracked.
A bright light burst across the sky.
And from inside the cracked moon came a voice.
"Your mother told you only half the truth."
